 We snapped these photos of the “M&M mobile” … while talking with the mobile driver, who happens to be a sales representative for the M&M Company, she volunteered that this vehicle is the only one in the country like it. And just think, we had it in town today!!!

  • We really felt strongly that this has to be a year where we had to hold the line because of the overall economic situation,’ said Tom Strickler, president of Columbia school board. Columbia was able to adopt a zero-tax-increase budget and avoid major cuts when its entire staff — teachers, administrators and support workers — agreed to freeze their wages, saving the district about $330,000. Several coaches also have agreed to work this year without pay, and community members have stepped forward to volunteer as ticket takers and scorekeepers at athletic events to cut costs, Strickler said. RIGHT TO SPEEDY TRIAL; CONFRONTATION OF WITNESS

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.
