  • “Hair Direct, an online hair replacement company in Bainbridge, will host a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, April 14, at Columbia Church of God, 48 N. Seventh St., Columbia. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door for all-you-can-eat spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and drinks. Tickets are $5 for kids, and $5 carryout meals also are available. For advance tickets, email mswalk2012@yahoo.com. The dinner also will feature the sales of desserts and other items, including floral arrangements, art prints and salon services. Jonal Gallery at 653 Locust Street in historic uptowne Columbia, Pennsylvania is pleased to welcome back Lancaster poet, author and actress Chris Longenecker and her husband and fellow actor Rick Shoup for a one night appearance during “National Poetry Month” on Saturday, April 14, 2012.
Their performance, entitled “TRAMP ASTROLOGER”, will showcase the re-enactment of the poetry of Robert Frost. One of Frost’s many sides deals with his “emotions” about “the sun, the moon and the stars.”
Chris will also be sharing some excerpts from her own book during this exciting performance. Her book, “How Trees Must Feel” will be available for sale and she will be be happy to personalize your copy at the end of this performance. Her book is also available on CD in our Alverta Arts Shop.
So, please join us Saturday, April 14, at 7:00pm* for the performance of “TRAMP ASTROLOGER” with Chris Longenecker and Rick Shoup. Admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students, with valid school ID. Advanced prepaid reservations are required and can be obtained at the gallery, by phone (717.681.9400) or you can request reservations through our web-site: www.jonalgallery.com (once we receive your request we will contact you to complete your reservations).
If you have never seen a Chris Longenecker & Rick Shoup performance before, you must see this one, if you have, this is another “must experience” event. Bring your favorite Frost request for Chris, or bring a favorite poem of yours to share on this special evening!
