We are currently looking for walkers, donations, and sponsors to help with a walk for Diabetes.

Sponsors are needed to help cover the cost of shirts and fund-raisers.

Our team, the WALKING RIVER RATS created and named by an 11-year-old girl, is currently in need of people to join our team, make donations or sponsor our team. The 11-year-old, now 12 years old, saw this walk on WGAL and decided that since most of her family and friends suffer from Diabetes that this would be a great way to help. Her mother suffers from it and walks with her.

This will be our second year and we hoping to get a nice big team together for the walk. We had a blast Last year.

We hope to get more team members and donations this year.

We are currently in the process of getting team shirts made for the walk. It is Step Out For Diabetes.

It is advertised on Television about the walk. This year the walk will be on Sunday, October 23 in Wrightsville. [NOTE: See the contributor’s comment concerning the date change the correct date is Sunday, October 23.]
