Last week’s high winds and driving rains passed through here and, for the most part, proved to be inconveniences. We were spared the loss of life, injuries, property destruction and chaos that struck across the south and the southeast.

The folks who were impacted need our help. Their return to “normalcy” will be a long time coming. We can help by contributing to the charitable agency of our choice. The list of disaster-assistance agencies listed below is by no means comprehensive, but it may be a starting guide for you.
