“Marietta ArtHouse group show focuses on works by the county’s art instructors”

“Study the teachers” is the featured “cover story” about the Marietta ArtHouse, its founders and the show that begins on Saturday in today’s ENTERTAINMENT LANCASTER section of the Intelligencer Journal/New Era.

Marietta ArtHouse co-founders Claire Lavin and Linda Mylin Ross (shown at left) were inspired to develop this exhibit after they saw the Lancaster Young Artists and Scholastic Art shows earlier this year.

“‘Art Teachers Create’ features the work of art teachers from across Lancaster County as well as some from York County. Approximately 40 teachers are in the show, and most are featuring two or three pieces. The show features a wide array of styles and media, including painting, drawing, sculpture and ceramics. The work is vibrant, diverse and often quite stunning.”
