• This LETTER TO THE EDITOR from today’s Lancaster Intelligencer Journal/New Era is related to the GE story posted on the right “Big Oil Profits at our expense – Oil companies are not the only culprits who have been greedy and, in the process, ruining our country. The oil future speculators are just as guilty as the greedy oil com­panies.Why should they be able to make huge profits while the rest of us have to suffer fi­nancially? Why should a spe­cial few ruin the lives of the many?Our economy will never recover as long as the greedy few continue to have more clout then the rest of the inno­cent people. Our government needs to look into this situa­tion and act on it, instead of worrying about whether they will be re-elected.Maybe if this situation is corrected, the big oil compa­nies may even try to be less greedy.
