“These organizations’ exempt status was automatically revoked by the IRS for failure to file a Form 990, 990-EZ, 990-N, or 990-PF for 3 consecutive years. DO YOU REALIZE SOME OF THESE GROUPS NO LONGER EXIST AND HAVEN’T FOR YEARS.
We are aware of that; what we listed was taken directly from the IRS’s listing file. Under state and IRS statutes, when a registered business (either for profit or non-profit) ceases to operate, that entity supposed to file a “statement of termination.” Perhaps, that did not happen for some of the groups you may be referencing?
