Eck is a 2008 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. – Two area students were named to the dean’s list at Hood College; they are Chad Doremus of Marietta and Megan Dancause of Mountville.

According to an article in the July 2011 Consumer Reports magazine, “The Social Security Administration is no longer sending annual statements that detail your earnings history and the benefits you’ve amassed so far. Curtailing that service will save about $70,000,000 a year. You can get an estimate of your future benefits online by going to http://www.socialsecurity.gov/ and clicking on “Estimate your retirement benefits.”
