Lots of fireworks

There are plenty of opportunities to watch fireworks this holiday weekend … but you will have to go out-of-town to see them. Here’s a listing of fireworks’ venues: 

SATURDAY 

LITITZ 194th CONTINUOUS FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION. This small town does it up good! Day long festival with live music, Queen of the Candles Pageant, Il­lumination of the Candles, a baby parade, food and a synchronized fireworks display. MARIETTA 54TH ANNUAL FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION. The Marietta Pioneer Fire Company presents this annual carnival and fireworks display. Carnival, Sat. 4-10 p.m. Free. Fire­works, Sat. 10 p.m. Marietta War Memorial Park, E. Walnut St. 629-7366. http://www.mariettapa.net/.

MOUNTVILLE FIREWORKS. Celebrate the 4th with fireworks. Sat. After dusk. Free. Froelich Park, 350 W. Main St., Mountville, www.froelichpark.com. A free fireworks display will begin after dusk Saturday at Froelich Park, 350 W. Main St., Mountville.

SUNDAY

LANCASTER – LONG’S PARK PATRIOTIC CONCERT AND FIREWORKS. The Amphitheater Foundation presents the annual patriotic concert and fireworks, featuring the 257th Army Band and Cannon Brigade. Fireworks follow. Bring lawn chairs or blanket. Picnics welcome. Food available. Sun. 7:30 p.m. Free. Long’s Park, 1441 Harrisburg Pike. http://www.longspark.org/.

MONDAY
