This and that – muralist and mantis

Good Job! Cimarron Properties! People are watching the progress of the work crews cleaning up the former M&T Bank site at the corner of Locust and North Fourth Streets. Pressurewashing the sidewalk; good job!

Good Job! Harrington’s Bar (catacorner across Locust Street) also is sprucing up that property; they, too, pressure washed the sidewalk last week.

Not a Good Job! Here’s hoping, though, that the property owner of the building catacorner from the former bank building (not the church) takes the hint about cleaning up property.

Great Job! Happened to stumble upon Mike Wilson working on a mural in an in-town building. Mike, who resides and creates from his place in Wrightsville, has a slight Massachusetts accent when he took time to talk with me about his work. We’ll have more about Mike and his project later this month. More about murals and muralists here.

Mantis … saw this young’un too. Luck for him it’s a great season for insect catching and devouring. Learn more about the praying mantis here.
