  • Weekly restaurant and food serving establishment inspection reports (York) and (Lancaster) and the PA database of all food serving establishments in Lancaster County except Columbia. Here’s how one national chain restaurant responded concerning violations at the York location, “Corporate spokesperson Meridith Hammond responded with a written statement. ‘Safety and sanitation are of the utmost importance to Ruby Tuesday and we take matters of this nature very seriously,’ she wrote. ‘The scores of recent health inspections are unacceptable and do not meet our company standards. We are moving aggressively and rapidly to correct all violations.'” And that is what are supposed to do, enable businesses to maintain consumer food safety processes and improve their businesses.
  • The International Food Safety Network – The International Food Safety Network (iFSN) at Kansas State University provides research, commentary, policy evaluation and public information on food safety issues from farm-to-fork. iFSN is a national repository of food safety related information, providing an extensive number of services including consumer and student outreach, information research, on-line resources, collaborative projects, evaluation and analysis, and a capacity to address current and emerging food safety concerns. iFSN presents a unique opportunity to bring together all those associated with agriculture and food, to enhance the safety of the food supply. Activities of iFSN are reported in Monthly and Annual Reports. The iFSN also produces these topical infosheets as this:
