At this morning’s York Daily Record Website, there’s an article entitled, “Examine teacher, school administrator salaries.” The article, which includes a searchable list of school administrators and teachers in York County, is reproduced below.
“The York County data is from the 2009-2010 school year and is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The salary numbers reported are only base salary, excluding any additional duties, PDE said.
“Some names appear more than once, if that person splits time between multiple duties. The salary listed for those entries is the total earned, according to the education department.
“The data includes the employee’s time with the listed district and total years in education.
“Teachers’ salary scales are constructed to allow them to earn more pay for years of experience and for level of education. Most districts offer extra pay for other levels, such as if a teacher earns 15, 30 or 45 credits beyond a master’s degree, or earns a doctorate. The data provided includes only the highest degree the employee has earned but does not indicate any credits earned beyond that degree.
