We met this guy, Jason – AKA “the dude with the food” – at an event a couple of days ago. Jason, with his family and a few friends, served up an outstanding summer picnic with outrageously tasty, slow-cooked for 10 hours pulled-pork along with hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad and the sides. This bundle of energy aggregation of people-loving foodies made the picnic so much more memorable.
Jason is a “former Marine” from the combat arms who, as many do, discovered there is little demand in the civilian world for a rifleman, cannon-cocker, projo-humper or machine-gunner. So he did what he also learned from the military … he adapted and moved ahead.
His mother had taught Jason cooking skills as a youngster and he parlayed that enthusiasm for food into a life passion. After enrollment and graduation from a New York cooking institute, he set out on his path to begin a food preparation and service adventure. With the help of his family and a few friends, Jason is “The dude with the food catering.”
