Here’s yet another find from another box. At the bottom was this copy of the Sunday News sports section from September 15, 1963. Paging through the fragile, eat-up, yellowed (even browned) copy, we spied an article about the Columbia-Red Lion football game. The paper was so decrepit, we decided to cut out the article to scan it.

With a little effort and patience, you should be able to overcome the ravages of time on improperly stored newsprint. You will be able to read the article and take a look at #19, Dave Rupp, Crimson Tide halfback, “picking up yardage” in that game against Red Lion.
