“The Susquehanna River watershed — which runs through New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland — is experiencing drought. The Susquehanna River Basin Commission, a board tasked with “protecting your watershed today and tomorrow,” has suspended permits for natural gas fracking and other uses due to low water levels. This is great but we want them to permanently prohibit private abuses of public water resources. They are seeking comments on their recently proposed protection policy.
