Evaluation process for teachers…who are these legislators kidding? They have no clue how to teach or what works best, yet they’re going to set the standards! Legislators need to get real and straighten out their own houses first before worrying about other professions. None of them work together to enact real change or confront the issues (hiding behind the old party-line votes) – most times they can’t even pass a budget on time, yet they feel they can evaluate others? They worry about well earned and bargained for pensions of teachers, when they need look no further than themselves to see real excesses of retirement benefits. If they wish to see the private/public sectors comply with their wishes, then I say that any standard they set should start in-house.
