- “HE SAID WHAT?: What is one of the worst things that can happen to a party’s campaign plans two weeks before the election? One of your candidates goes off script in a debate, puts his foot in his mouth and tries to take your plans with him. Such is the case of Richard Mourdock, a Republican Senate candidate from Indiana. He says he believes a rape that results in pregnancy is ‘something God intended.’ Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is likely to break a land-speed record running away from this one.” – Harrisburg Patriot-News

In regard to Boro Council and the market house. When will the bull stop coming out of council? The members are reasonably educated and should THINK before they act. The market house was not on the agenda. The trust agreement should have been looked at by their attorney to make sure diabanding was legal. Now there is no plan and no one to administer it. As usual good luck. The problem with a lot of things that happen in the Boro that are not in the best interest of the Taxpayers, is the taxpayers pay in the end, not the members of Council. Council THE BUCK STOPS with YOU.
Joe, you make some good points. I would suggest the local borough councils and local school boards do not have the knowledge to administer the business affairs of the comminity, my belief is we need to outsource both of these entities to professional persons skilled in borough and school administration. It has worked in places like Detroit and Harrisburg.
Over and over again we see the results of poor judgement, bad decisions and lack of foresight from local councils and school boards, time for a change to professionals skilled in administering business actions.
