- POLICE LOG: “MARIETTA: Jeffrey A. Ober, 34. of 515 W. Market St., Marietta, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of simple assault after he allegedly struck a woman with a baseball bat during a domestic incident Oct. 26 at his home. Ober then allegedly used the bat to assault a man who was attempting to take the woman to seek medical attention for her injuries. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bail. – MANOR TWP.: Burglars broke a window to gain entry to a home in the 3400 block of Charlestown Road Saturday evening, township police said. Several drawers in a bedroom were ransacked and over $1,000 worth of jewelry was stolen. Police said they believe more than one person was involved in the burglary. They ask anyone with information to call Det. Mike Phenneger or Sgt. Jim Alexander at 299-5231.
