  • POLICE LOG – “MARIETTA: Douglas LaFlamme, 42, of Lebanon, was charged Sunday after a fight in the 100 block of West Market Street. He allegedly struck a man numerous times in the face. The victim tried to get away, but LaFlamme pursued him up a set of stairs and pushed him over a railing. The man fell about 10 feet to the sidewalk. LaFlamme fled and was apprehended by Susquehanna Regional police in a vehicle at Route 441 and Vinegar Ferry Road. He was arraigned and released on $8,000 unsecured bail. – MARIETTA: Jeffrey S. Shank Jr., 22, of 338 N. Third St., Columbia, Joseph M. Zink, 27, of 222 Park St., Elizabethtown, Joy M. Welsh, 35, of 21 Vinegar Ferry Road, Marietta, and Donald L. Zink, 32, of Newport, on Oct. 12 allegedly went to a home in the first block of Essex Street that was occupied by a woman and two men. According to Susquehanna Regional police, Joseph Zink struck one man with a chain, then tried to hit the other. The victims were eventually able to take the chain from Zink; a fight then ensued involving several people, police said. Shank and Joseph Zink were charged with aggravated assault and conspiracy. Welsh and Donald Zink were charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault. Donald Zink and the female victim were treated at an area hospital for minor injuries, police said.” – Lancaster Intelligencer Journal/New Era
