Questions about 2009 and 2012

Why have the mayor and the council president and vice president and all but two councilors persistently questioned personnel decisions and operational issues implemented by the Columbia Historic Market House Trust board?

Why have these elected “public servants” asked for transparency in “personnel actions” when they hid behind the claim of “personnel actions” following the termination of the market manager’s agreement in 2009?

Why were no reasons for termination of the independent contractor’s contract given in 2009?

What is the difference in 2012?

Why do five of these elected “public servants” pursue a reckless and irresponsible course of action that brings discredit on the community?

What do other county and state officials – legislators, agency heads (or even the chief executive’s office) – who approve grant streams, think as they see the news from Columbia plastered in the county’s primary newspaper?

Isn’t it time to stop the “council of control” in Columbia?

When is enough control … enough?

  1. Oh, this is interesting. So why was Renae’s contract terminated back in 2009 by Columbia Borough Council? Why is that private? What information is being kept from the taxpayers?

  2. Guess what Vera you will never know, remember its Columbia. Transparency does not exist in Columbia at the present time. Go back to the Turkey Hill Experience. How much did that cost the Boro in Interest? How much did it cost the Boro to dig up and haul away dirt at the site. Just a few questions unanswered. Where are the Thousands of people it was goning to bring to town?
