Brittany Detz graduates from Clemson University

Brittany Elizabeth Detz received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Clemson University in graduation exercises on December 20, 2012. Brittany graduated cum laude with a 3.67 GPA.

While at Clemson, Brittany was inducted into the following Honor Societies: National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and Golden Key International Honor Society. Brittany is the daughter of Michelle and Vernon Detz of Columbia. She is a 2008 Columbia Borough High School graduate.

Many Columbians will remember Brittany as the talented “fire twirler” at Columbia High School. At Clemson University, she excelled in academics. Brittany was named to the Dean’s List every semester at Clemson and named to the President’s list with a perfect 4.0 for the fall semester of 2012 and was the featured Tiger twirler for the Clemson University Marching Band. Brittany closed out her Clemson twirling career on Monday night, December 31st in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. as the Clemson Tigers defeated the LSU Tigers, 25-24 in the 2012 Chick-Fil-A Bowl.
