  • The World War II Oral History Club will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at St. Anne’s Retirement Community, 3952 Columbia Ave., Columbia. Speaker will be Paul Winters, who served as a medic in the 116th Infantry Regiment 29th Division. He was in the first wave landing on Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944, D-Day. He received two Purple Hearts. The purpose of the club is to preserve an oral history of World War II.
