Now for the ” … but stupid” part.

Anyone who’s attended those council meetings has heard the oft stated plea for more policing spending in Columbia. Why some have said repeatedly that Columbia has the “second or third most police calls” of all the municipalities in Lancaster County.

Funny how the report’s figures contrast the spoken “claim” thrown about at these meetings. Take a look at the ‘POLICE DEPARTMENT TOTAL CALLS FOR 2012″ on page two of the Lancaster County-Wide Communications Annual Report for 2012 report.

It was not the case for 2011 either.

In fact take a look at this from page 5 from this report,

It’s a different story for the borough’s fire resources.

It can be “ver-r-r-y interesting … but stupid” to be footloose with figures!
