  • LATEST UPDATE: SHOOTING SUSPECT TURNS HIMSELF IN: A man was shot in the head in Columbia late Wednesday night. Medical personnel, along with police from multiple jurisdictions, responded to the area of 224 N. Third St. just before 10:20 p.m.  A suspect fled on foot. The Florida based Office Depot Inc. and Illinois based OfficeMax say holders of OfficeMax shares will receive 2.69 shares of Office Depot for every OfficeMax share they own. That’s equal to about $13.50 per share, giving the deal a total value of about $1.2 billion.
