We’re having a hard time understanding that elected “public servants” and their tons of accounting resources cannot understand that decisions made promising future benefits have to be calculated into each year’s budget. Decisions have repercussions. The practice of “kicking the can down the road” has to stop.

Short-sighted management when the fat times were is the reason for this “budget/pension system” precipice. “Dumass” decisions from generations of elected “public servants” have led to this. Face it, make current and future cuts but keep the promises made some time ago.

We think you will agree that a video that “talks down” to citizens about these “promises of the past” is just wrong.
