Those traffic signals at the Route 30 West exit ramp and Route 441 are still dark. At Monday’s council “committee of the whole” meeting, the borough manager told everyone why. PennDOT will not activate the signals until the road striping is done. The road striping has been held up for the same reason the seasonal flowers have. The weather’s just not been real cooperative. Warmer, dry weather will see traffic signal activation; a welcome component that will add safety to that intersection.
