- “Lightning was blamed for a house fire in Columbia Friday night. According to Columbia Borough Fire Chief Scott Ryno, lighting struck the attic area of a house at 913 Chestnut St. at about 8:10 p.m. The fire was contained to the attic area, Ryno said, but the house was “unlivable” for at least Friday night, and the family had to relocate. Ryno did not have an estimate of damage. Units from Columbia Borough and York County brought the fire under control within half an hour.” – LancasterOnLine
