Columbia’s borough council met last night in the monthly meeting. Six of the councillors were present as the meeting was convened at 7:00 pm; councillor Jodi Gable was absent due to a work conflict. Also present for the meeting was the mayor, the borough manager, the borough financial director, the borough’s solicitor, the recorder, a newspaper correspondent and a handful of citizens. Later in the evening, two more people joined the audience – a property owner and a resident. The meeting was adjourned at 8:55 pm.

A citizen asked for clarification on agenda item III, 17., e.: “New Market Tax Credit in conjunction with CEDC (Columbia Economic Development Corporation) to be held in September 2013.” The borough manager explained the credit was a federal tax one.
