- If you’ve ever referred to the Columbia Borough Website to research the ordinances you’ve probably noticed a different look. Borough manager Sam Sulkosky told Columbia news, views & reviews the borough has changed from the former provider, e-360, to an in-house managed database listing of the ordinances as a cost savings tactic. The switch in format, he said, eliminates monthly hosting charge and separate charges whenever a change is made to an ordinance or a new one is added. The savings will be significant. The revised ordinances are searchable in several formats and actually reproduce the originally crafted legislation. In the former service, the ordinance was, in some cases, summarized.
- Columbia Police Department news release includes this message: “THERE HAS BEEN AN INCREASE IN VANDALISIM IN THE BOROUGH TO VEHICLES. SEVERAL PERSONS HAVE REPORTED TIRES SLASHED OR WINDOWS BROKEN IN THEIR VEHICLES OR HOMES.”
