today’s news and information gleanings from here and there!
Quote for today … “Oh, two people making out in a park. The horror!” – Matt, a commenter to the LancasterOnLine article about “partially naked, drunken couple arrested in Ephrata park.”
- “Nitwittery!” What a great word. Seems to be prevalent in lots of governmental and school board settings.
- More cabin properties sold” Columbia Heritage River Cottage Association Inc., William J. Hogan Sr. and Kitty L. Hogan conveyed Unit 18 to William J. Hogan Sr. and Kitty L. Hogan for $1. Milton David Scott and Columbia River Heritage Cottage Association Inc. conveyed Unit 19 to Milton David Scott for $1. [NOTE: Columbia news, views & reviews was unable to find the transfer of Unit 19 at the property search Website. This is the link to 19 River Front though.
- H-m-m-m. While perusing the Website of the Lancaster County Economic Development Corporation, found the supporters which contributed $500-$1,749 annually
(municipalities and non-profit community and economic development organizations). Columbia Borough and the Columbia Economic Development Corporation are the first listed in the alphabetical listing. Interesting that no other borough is a contributor. Wonder which budget line item reflects that contribution? Interesting, too, that only one other EDC is a contributor.
2 people making out in Ephrata park, oh two be young again!!!!!!!
With so much Columbia support the Lancaster County EDC should help us build a nice hotel !
Or maybe refurb the one across the street from the Borough Hall?
with three foot wide hallways and 100 square foot rooms ? Tear it down and build a mid rise, but keep the nice facad like they did at the Mariot in Lancaster !
