LANCASTER, Pa. (October 2013) – Baby boomers, seniors, their families and caregivers will find timely information for living a happy, healthy and productive life at the 17^th annual Lancaster County 50plus EXPO on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a new location: Spooky Nook Sports, 2913 Spooky Nook Road, Manheim.

Presented by OLP Events and the Lancaster County Office of Aging, the Lancaster County 50plusEXPO is a free event that features more than 100 exhibitors displaying products and services in the areas of travel, housing, medical services, nutrition, home improvements, finances, healthcare options and more.

Rite Aid’s wellness 65+ Tour will be sponsoring a Health & Wellness Area with free health screenings and information. They will also be offering flu and pneumonia shots, which are covered by most insurance plans or available via cash payment.

A unique addition to this year’s Lancaster County 50plus EXPO will be a program to honor veterans beginning at 11 a.m. that will include patriotic music, entertainment and guest speakers, including Congressman Joe Pitts and Doug Etter from the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

A special veterans area designated on the EXPO floor will feature book signings by local authors and veterans. The 50plus EXPO will be accepting donations of personal-care items on behalf of the Veterans’ Victory House program.

Additionally, representatives from the Recorder of Deeds office will be on hand to help all honorably discharged county veterans record their DD-214 papers and enroll in the free Thank a Vet veterans discount program. (Please bring full-sized DD-214s.)

Attendees can take advantage of free health screenings and a seminar and will be eligible for door prizes. Live musical entertainment will be provided by three PA State Senior Idol winners.
