On November 22, Fourth Friday in Columbia, Marietta and Wrightsville will be hosting many artist receptions, specials, and a gingerbread house contest! The fun will run from 5-9 pm, don’t miss out on this exciting Fourth Friday!
Get in the holiday spirit with a sweet competition! This Fourth Friday will feature a Gingerbread House Contest. Start at the Visitors Center with a live assembly demonstration by students from Mt. Joy Career and Technology Center and warm up with some hot cider! Grab a ballot and travel to participating Fourth Friday locations where you will vote on handcrafted gingerbread houses entered by the public. Visit with the “Inkmen” at Jonal Gallery this month. Five pen and ink artists from Lancaster and York Counties will join together for this inked exhibit. Meet David Haneman of Marietta, Dale Weibley of Columbia, Robert Hammer and Robert Oughton of Wrightsville and Charles Long of York at the opening reception on Fourth Friday. Also look for pen and ink ornaments made by these gentlemen, a great time to start a unique collection!
Where can you find whimsical and unique, but affordable handcrafted gifts? Weavings, Ink.’s Holiday Gift Show of course! Local artists will sell their wares including hand-knitted pocketbooks, mittens and hats, hand woven scarves, rugs and blankets, prints, soap, stuffed animals, stained glass, beads, robots, planters and much more. A great way to start your holiday shopping and support local artists!
Prudhomme’s On Fourth will host an art exhibit featuring Lancaster County Artist, Kathy Kreiter Rothenberger. From paintings to painted glassware, her creative & captivating art is sure to please all. Prudhomme’s On Fourth is located at N. 4th St., across from the Columbia Post Office. Kathy will be showing from 6-9pm.
