today’s news and information gleanings from here and there!
Question for today… “to the big chick I just seen one 3rd street, them pants are not for you.” – one of the tweets at Columbia Crushes.
- Really! Did you catch these quotes from some borough council members: “the borough is ‘not here to prop up businesses’” and “All I will say right now is there is no way I will ever vote to fund a business.?” Wonder why these public servants consider one 501 (c) (3) a business and others not? Ever wonder why the borough is the only borough to be a supporter of the Lancaster County Economic Development Corporation (“SUPPORTERS – $500-$1,749 annually (municipalities and non-profit community and economic development organizations) Borough of Columbia“)? Ever wonder why memories are so short? Perhaps they might revisit the commentary in the initial grant application to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development when it was all about “supporting the businesses that would come to the Market House.”
