- The state cow may be running dry! Councillor Mary Wickenheiser announced at last night’s council meeting that the borough’s application for funding to match funds offered by St. Johns Herr Estate to construct a walking path in the vicinity around the retirement community has been denied by the state. The reason cited was a dearth of funds available. Back in July, on the back of the June sewer bill was this notice: “DCNR grant for ST John Herr’s Estate for a walking loop was submitted and we are awaiting approval.”
