- Columbia news, views & reviews OPINION: While traveling eastbound on Route 30 from Columbia to Lancaster yesterday morning, the consistent density of vehicles traveling both directions reminded us of the 55 in Chicago; 95 in New England and 205/580 in California. We see too many instances of speeding; following to closely; complete ignorance of the correct way to blend into traffic from “yield to traffic” limited access on-ramps and yakking on mobile phones. This “multi-car crash on Route 222” is an example of what happens and will continue to happen.
