“Rose’s recent album ‘Wind Dance Under The Moon’ was chosen 2013 Best Album [Native American category] by the UK based One World Music Radio. The album reached #1 on the UK New Age charts and #82 in the US. He is featured prominently on the album ‘Tahoe Spirit’ by double platinum recording artist Mars Lasar. Rose’s efforts have been rewarded by nominations for Indian Summer and Native American Music Awards. With five albums to his credit, Rose has been a longtime featured performer on both the Native American and New Age scenes. He has appeared at the Native Rhythms Festival [FL,] The Sunwatch Festival [OH,] Zion Flute Festival [UT,] The American Music Festival [PA] and the Musical Echoes Festival [FL.]

“Ferrara, currently performing in the classical, New Age and rock genres has also had a long, storied career. A founding member of The Philadelphia Guitar Ensemble and the New Age/electronica group Shadowdancer, each of which produced one album, he has consistently positioned himself at the creative edge of classical guitar performance. He pioneered the use of synthesizer enabled classical guitars and the 1995 Shadowdancer album “Hole In Their Heads” is the earliest [if not the only] recording featuring synthesizer driven classical guitar performances. Ferrara is a prolific soloist appearing weekly in Media, PA and Pottstsown, PA and recording a solo album of his own classical guitar arrangements of instrumental rock classics.

“The collaboration between Rose and Ferrara began as a result of publicity in connection with Ferrara’s 2013 ‘Americana’ tour of Georgia, North Carolina and Alabama. The “Americana” program featured American classical music for silver flute/guitar duo and solo guitar as well as original new age music for world flutes and guitar. Rose [Elizabethtown] and Ferrara [Lansdowne] began performing and recording in their home state of Pennsylvania upon completion of Ferrara’s tour in July 2013. Their initial [as yet unreleased] recording efforts won them a spot on the prestigious festival stage of the World Flute Society convention in Eau Claire WI, July 2014.

“In the spring of 2014 the Rose/Ferrara duo will embark upon their own tour, returning to many of the same venues in which Ferrara performed in 2013. In addition, they are in negotiations for performances in Colorado, Indiana, Ohio and Florida as well as the aforementioned Wisconsin concert. They have an upcoming local performance at Juan Carlos Fine Mexican Cuisine in Pottstown, PA on Thursday March 6 and will appear at the Swatara Creek Powwow in Middletown, PA later in the Spring.
