“State transportation plan allows counties to add $5 fee on vehicles”

WGAL news report says:

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – Part of the states new transportation funding plan includes a provision that allows for counties to raise their own money for infrastructure needs.

In Cumberland County alone, dozens of bridges need to be replaced. Last year, both Wolf and Craighead bridges were closed because they were no longer safe for traffic.

To help repair these bridges, counties could enact a yearly fee of $5 on all vehicles registered in that county.
