And now, the bulletin board with the wage rates for the Trail Building is “outside the wire” and people can see that being a tradesman working on a government project is fairly lucrative.
The sign’s up and the agencies that provided grants are recognized. The tough part now is maintenance; the pole needs to be painted. Will there be grant funds for that?
On the trail, from the Decatur Street access in Marietta, the scenery is green and lush. The high waters of the Susquehanna, rose over the trail in a few places. New to the trail this year are several substantial benches; each is identified with a sponsor’s marker.
