today’s news and information gleanings from here and there!
Quote for today… “Young girl, get out of my mind. My love for you is way out of line.” – Gary Puckett. Could have been “young boy, too. Two instances from York, man sentenced and woman sentenced; neither may never have heard the song. – The York Daily Record

- Improvement for sure: “Columbia is a visitor’s paradise to antique and art seekers with the many antique shops and art studios in historic former business buildings and homes.” It used to say “art affection Atos?”
- Likely it might have said “art aficionados?”
- Gee, don’t say what they want you to say and your comment gets rejected. We’ve been buying pet treats from an on-line company in Wisconsin. A year or two ago, when the notice about contaminants in Chinese-produced pet treats became public, we called the company and were assured their strict guidelines and inspection of the growing and production facilities assured the products (sweet potato treats) were completely safe. The dog loves them and we continue to buy the products from the online company. Recently two “bricks and mortar” pet stores operating in Lancaster County said they’ve decided to stop selling Chinese pet products. Anyway, the online company asked for our comments following a recent purchase: Tell us what you think. Thousands of shoppers and their pets would benefit from your experience, good or bad. Please share your thoughts with them about the products you purchased. Thank you!” We sent our comments that iterated the above and guess what? The online company rejected the comments. “Your opinion is very important to us and the ___ ______ _ _____ community. We appreciate you taking the time to write a review about Sweet Potato Disks, 1 lb. Unfortunately your review did not meet our guidelines for posting on our site.” Wow. Might be a sensitive issue!
