today’s news and information gleanings from here and there!

Quote for today … “Be ye neither the first nor the last to embrace change.”- Willis Shenk, former Chairman of the Board of Lancaster Newspapers, Inc. and other Steinman-held properties.

Another Quote for today … “There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things. For the reformer has enemies in all those who profit by the old order, and only lukewarm defenders in all those who would profit by the new order, this lukewarmness arising partly from fear of their adversaries … and partly from the incredulity of mankind, who do not truly believe in anything new until they have had actual experience of it.” – Niccolo Machiavelli.

Another Quote for today“A lot of people resist transition and therefore never allow themselves to enjoy who they are. Embrace the change, no matter what it is; once you do, you can learn about the new world you’re in and take advantage of it.” – Nikki Giovanni

Another Quote for today“You can get used to anything. You can stand on your head with your head in a bucket of doo-doo every day, and eventually you’ll get used to it!” – Sergeant Nelson. [NOTE: Sergeant Nelson was our drill sergeant and he used another word for doo-doo.]
