It happens on Friday, November 21.

And this year Columbia is right in the middle of the event as the Extraordinary Give “GiveMobile” sets up in Columbia to accept your contributions that benefit the area’s and the county’s 307 registered non-profit organizations that provide assistance for so many.

“The Extraordinary Give is a chance to be part of a community-wide celebration of giving. Donations will be accepted at this site on November 21, 2014 from 12 midnight – 11:59 PM. On that day, every dollar donated will be stretched by $250,000 from the Lancaster County Community Foundation and our presenting sponsors Rodgers & Associates. An additional $50,000 will be awarded in prizes to the causes you care about! Throughout the day there will be events and giving celebrations throughout Lancaster County. On Friday morning, rain or shine, the GiveMobile will be in the parking area at the Turkey Hill Experience from 10:00 until 11:30 am.

Interestingly, and fittingly, this year’s list of registered non-profit organizations does not include any Economic Development Corporations.
