Big day for county non-profits; how did Columbia do?

Yesterday thousands of Lancaster Countians demonstrated their extreme generosity and contributed nearly four and a half million dollars to the 307 not-for-profit organizations registered for the ExtraOrdinary GIVE.

Extraordinary efforts were demonstrated in Columbia as the “GiveMobile” set up shop at the Turkey Hill Experience.

And Hinkle’s Pharmacy had a table set up for The Arc of Lancaster County in the store.

Water Street Ministries garnered the most in contributions with just over $195,000; PA CareerLink of Lancaster County, the least with $335.

Among Columbia’s participating organizations, the supporters contributed:

  • Columbia Crimson Tide Education Foundation, 33 contributors – $3,955
  • Columbia Public Library, 25 contributors – $975
  • Community Life Network, 13 contributors – $1,550
  • National Watch & Clock Museum, 79 contributors – $20,725
  • Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services – 239 contributors – $42,405
