That was the Committee on Personnel’s councillor’s comment to a citizen’s question about borough manager Sam Sulkosky’s absence from last night’s meeting.

The citizen asked about his whereabouts because he’d posed questions to the borough manager about Ironville Pike complications and his property. He has been given no definitive responses when asking the question of others.

Sulkosky’s name appears at the borough Website; yet rumors of his departure have surfaced.

Another citizen asked about the role of tax collection since the borough manager has that responsibility. The citizen was assured that the borough staff would competently assume the responsibilities.

Several people in the gallery noticed that, while seven councillors were in attendance when the meeting was convened at 6:06 pm, only six were present when the meeting was adjourned at 9:00. Could the councillor be on leave?

By the time the question about the borough manager surfaced in the meeting, some of the media representatives and correspondents had left the meeting, too.
