  • A loan arranger:Columbia will receive a loan of more than $853,000 to help pay for the installation of a digester at the borough’s wastewater treatment center. The installation will cut the electrical use at the facility by about two-thirds, according to a state news release. The total project cost is about $1.2 million.” – Central Penn Business Journal

  • Corporate welfare?: “Lancaster General Hospital will receive a $1,300,000 million ACE Program grant for the purchase and installation of a 3.5 MW combined heat and power (CHP) plant located in Lancaster City. The $7,775,520 CHP plant project will generate 21,861,250 kWh for onsite use, offsetting electricity purchase from electric utility providers. The project will improve power system reliability in the event of an extended power outage.” – News Release – PA DCED
