“Crayola doesn’t release attendance figures, but Lozano said the city’s top tourist attraction draws hundreds of thousands each year, exceeding expectations after a recent expansion.

“‘We’ve put a lot of time and effort in the design and quality of the attractions,’ she said.

“Sometimes, it seems it’s all working a little too well. Easton’s government consults regularly with Crayola to keep pace with the crayon-crazy tourists on a week like the record breaker. That means navigating that most infamous of local gripes — parking.”
