Slowly, surely … but certainly … Columbia is coming center-stage.

- Jamie Quinn of Community Life Network of Columbia is quoted in the LNP – Always Lancaster editorial today as she shouts the mantra of collaboration: ” … no matter what, we’ve got to work as a team.”
- The Northwest River Trail is coming to Columbia. “I think the Northwest River Trail is and will continue to be one of the recreational gems in Lancaster County,” said county commissioner Craig Lehman in approving the agreement with the waste authority. – LNP – Always Lancaster
- On May 1 – “Columbia Borough, Columbia Historic Preservation Society, Rivertownes PA USA and Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, are proud to announce a celebration of the newly finished River Trails Building located at Front & Walnut Street, Columbia, PA.” – Columbia Borough Website
- “History Lives On” – The brochure for Mount Bethel Cemetery is another example pointing to a Columbia treasure. The brochure, too, represents the core of collaboration a the back page states, “This guide was created with funding from the Susquehanna Gateway Heritage Area with financial assistance from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, Pennsylvania Heritage Parks Fund.”
