“Train wreck in Philly: Lessons for Columbia PA USA and Lancaster County!”

by David R. Allen – Columbia, PA

The nearby (to Columbia PA USA) Philly PA train wreck disaster which occurred last Tuesday night and killed 7 people happened in the same location as the worst USA train wreck/ passenger fatalities in USA history, according the WORLD ALMANAC “Train Wreck Disasters,” page.

The USA record for killing people in train wrecks is 79 and occurred in 1943 at the same spot in Philly, at the same sharp curve which killed 7 last Tuesday.

Asia beats out the world in train wreck disasters, and India beats out the rest of Asia!

800 people killed (!) in one train wreck in Bahir, India, and 2 other famously disastrous, high body count train wrecks in the SAME location at other times (Bahir, India!).

Africa also kills a lot of people in train wrecks.  The same WORLD ALMANAC “Train Wreck Disasters” page describes Africa’s impressive record….almost 400 in Egypt, over 300 killed in several wrecks in sub-Saharan Africa.  Go Africa, go!

The USA Philly 1943 train wreck death record of “only” 79 is at the bottom of the food chain re: train wreck deaths of train passengers.

The honor of North America regarding train death wrecks is preserved by Mexico which has in impresive list of 200+ train deaths in many wrecks “South Of The Border!”

Go Mexico!

But…..The USA and it’s favorite high death train wreck state……our beloved state of Pennsylvania …..might catch up soon!

AMTRAK has outfitted the “Keystone” stretch of it’s PA USA service from Harrisburg PA to Philly PA (which goes through Lancaster County!) with HIGH SPEED CAPABLE tracking to get the fast moving PA politicians from Harrisburg to Philly in a hurry!

AMTRAK also has recently purchased trains which go 125 MPH and will use these fast (aka “high speed”)  trains on the potentially deadly “Keystone” line track area (Harrisburg to Philly stopping at Lancaster PA) soon and often.

(BTW, the sleepy part of AMTRAK west of Harrisburg to the Ohio line…remember the “Keystone” section heads east…. is called the “Pennsylvanian” section, and has NO “high speed” track build up…..same old slow train heading west to Pittsburgh and beyond!)

Big wrecks are bound to occur, and the USA can finally catch up with Asia and Africa (and Japan, which ALSO has big train wrecks of fame!).

The recent Philly train wreck last Tuesday ain’t nothin’!

Wait for the near future, and watch the show!
