“Manheim Borough located in northern Lancaster County with an annual budget of $4.2 million is accepting applications for the position of Borough Manager. Duties include all phases of supervision and management of administrative and public works staff and associated municipal programs. Manheim Borough is a Historic Community with over 4800 residents and includes an active Main Street Program and National Register Historic District. Applicant should be an excellent communicator, with knowledge and experience in administration, personnel, planning, zoning, grant writing, economic development and intergovernmental cooperation on local and state level. Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelors degree (preferred but not required) and 5 years administrative managerial experience in public administration. Pretty hard to understand why this school board could not find a way to cut $24,117 from a projected expense budget of well over $48 million dollars. Kind of a testament to ruthless spending at all costs; instead the board passes along a one percent tax increase to its taxpayers. Really hard to understand this logic. – Lancaster Online
