Fourth Fridays along the River Towns

Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce invites the public to visit our local galleries, specialty shops, and restaurants in Columbia, Marietta, and Wrightsville.

Our list of Fourth Friday participants has grown to include four art galleries; seven antique & specialty shops, eight restaurants, two historic venues, and a bookstore. Look for a complete list of participants on the website http://www.PaRivertowns.com.

Join us Friday, June for Fourth Fridays featuring Garth Gallery Studio & Frame Shop will be open for an art display and a new look to the café. Susquehanna Center for the Creative Arts is presenting a group show, featuring works by Robert Troxell. Through the Fire Artists Studio is showing works from Jerry King Musser and Artist in Residence Janette Toth-Musser. Weavings, Ink in Wrightsville will be celebrating their seventh anniversary. A show featuring the pen and inks and weavings from the past year of co-owners Robert Oughton and Phyllis Koster.

Columbia Historic Preservation Society is featuring Columbia’s famous Sonneteer and Artist, Lloyd Mifflin.  On exhibit will be some of his most famous art work and of course, his sonnets and books.  Works of his father, John Houston Mifflin will also be on exhibit. The Historic Mount Bethel will have their cottage open for viewing. St. John Herr’s Estate will feature artists’ work from the guests. In addition, their shuttle bus will be operating during the night dropping/picking up passengers from the galleries in Columbia.

Bootleg Antiques & Oddities is having moonshine samples and a performance by ”Sonny Lee and the Bootleggers”. Historic Salem on 324 Walnut Street Columbia, will be offering a special night of music “True Love – Resting in God’s Amazing Affection for Us” beginning at 8pm.
