Last night’s council of the whole meeting lasted nearly four and one-half hours. Three persons representing three media resources were in attendance, as well as a larger than usual number of citizens at the outset of the meeting. There’s the potential that there’ll be, possibly, at least three reports on the events at this meeting. (Columbia Spy already posted information about the council’s decision to extend the agreement with the Market House Trust for a one year period beginning January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2016.)
After issues were discussed and decisions made, small groups of citizens departed.
Columbia news, views & reviews regularly reminds readers Due to time constraints and other obligations, Columbia news, views & reviews, consistently and regularly, reminds citizens to attend meetings so they can hear, see and question what’s being said during transactions. Reading reports or listening to second-hand information from someone who may have been at the meeting provides, at best, superficial and selective accounts of what actually transpired or was said.
Columbia news, views & reviews does record all public meetings and offers copies of the meetings. If you want a copy of the audio recording, send an email to 17512@mail.com.

After not doing anything to revitalize the market house, I can’t believe Council voted to give the Trust another year to do nothing.
